SHEFFIELD, Mass. – Madison DiGrigoli had a hat trick Saturday to lead the Lenox girls soccer team to a 9-0 win over Mount Everett.

Amelia Weibrecht scored a pair of goals, and Jocelyn Fairfield had a pair of assists in the win.

“The speed and touch of Lenox proved to be too much for us to handle after the first couple of goals in the first half,” Mount Everett coach Joshua King said. “We got beat on a set piece 20 minutes in and never really got off our heels the rest of the game. I think both the girls and I realize this was going to be a rebuilding year having lost the 5 seniors from last year and we didn't do enough as a program to get ourselves in a better shape mentally or physically to compete today.”

Makayla Carpenter and Aliyah Creamer split time in goal for Mount Everett, combining to make 13 saves.

The Eagles (1-1) go to Smith Academy on Monday.

Lenox (2-1) host Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
