McCann Tech Earns Road Shutout in Regular Season Finale

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – Ryleigh Rathbun had a goal and an assist, and Sofia Francesconi made 10 saves Thursday to lead the McCann Tech girls soccer team to a 3-0 win over Hampden Charter.

 

“Very physical game to close out the season,” McCann Tech coach Lindsay Lincoln said. “Overall we are playing strong and ready for tournament play.”

 

Shaylee Lawson scored a goal, and Lily Speed converted a penalty kick. Francesconi recorded an assist on a well-placed goal kick.

 

McCann Tech (15-1) learns Friday who it will face in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class D Tournament.
