PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Madison Stetz scored one goal and assisted on another Tuesday to lead the Pittsfield girls soccer team to a 2-0 win over Drury.

After a scoreless first half, Stetz scored the game-winner with an assist from Caprese Conyers.

Stetz then set up Molly Pope for an insurance goal in the Generals’ first win.

“Tonight's victory was a culmination of a month of hard work, defeat, tears, goal setting and teamwork,” Pittsfield coach Molly West said. “I am beyond proud of how hard we worked tonight on the offensive and defensive end. Cari Sherman was outstanding on defense and Molly Pope and Madison Stetz were dominant in the middle, creating almost every offensive play. Bri'Jai Ellerbee also stood out on defense and was key, winning 50/50 balls. This win was our first in over a year so the girls deserve this feeling.”

Harolyn Castillo made seven saves to earn the shutout in goal.

Addisyn Shepard made 14 saves for Drury.

The Blue Devils (2-3-1) host Mount Greylock on Saturday.

Pittsfield (1-7-1) hosts Pope Francis on Thursday.
