LENOX, Mass. – Madison DiGrigoli converted a penalty kick in the 59th minute to give the Lenox girls soccer team a 2-2 tie against Drury on Tuesday night.

The Millionaires scored first when Amelia Weibrecht converted an assist from DiGrigoli in the ninth minute of play.

Drury struck back early in the second half when Megan McGrath tied the game.

Fourteen minutes later, Maddison Saunders scored with an assist from Delaney Hayden to give the Blue Devils a 2-1 lead.

It did not last, though, as the Millionaires earned the PK moments later, and DiGrigoli made it count.

“It was a tough, physical battle until the very end,” Lenox coach William Welch said. “Lenox is adapting well to our new style and we see improvements every day. While the result is not satisfying, it’s great to see this team refuse to give up in the face of adversity and continue to fight until the final whistle.”

The Millionaires (3-1-1) go to Monument Mountain on Thursday.

Drury (1-2-1) is at Hoosac Valley on Thursday.
