Westfield Tech Boys Tie McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Westfield Tech boys soccer team scored in the 78th minute to get a 2-2 tie at McCann Tech on Tuesday.

 

The Tigers scored on a disputed play where the Hornets bench thought the ball went over the end line out of bounds before an attacker was able to tap it into the net, McCann Tech coach Stephen McAllister said.

 

Rocco Cellana scored two goals on set pieces just outside the 18 to give the Hornets a 2-0 lead at half-time.

 

“Hats off to the entire team for their hard work and perseverance,” McAllister said.

 

McCann Tech (8-2-3) takes a four-game unbeaten streak into Thursday’s regular season finale at home against Hoosac Valley.
