Hoosac Valley, Wahconah Seeded First in State Football Tourneys

As expected, the Hoosac Valley and Wahconah football teams were awarded top seeds in the Massachusetts high school football playoffs that get underway on Friday.
 
In Division 7, Wahconah will host No. 16 Lunenburg on Friday night for a berth in the state quarter-finals.
 
In Division 8, Hoosac Valley will host No. 16 Lynn Vocational at 7 p.m. on Friday at Renfrew Field.
 
Lee also will be home in the first round in D8. The Wildcats secured the No. 7 seed and will host No. 10 Randolph on Friday night.
 
Pittsfield also will be home for its first state tournament game. The Generals are seeded eighth in Division 5 and will host No. 9 Norton on Friday at 6 p.m. Saturday at 2 p.m. Berkshire Community College.
