Greylock Sets New Berkshire County Record
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass — The Mount Greylock football team beat visiting Drury, 20-0, on Friday night to give the Mounties their 32nd straight victory, setting the Berkshire County record for most consecutive unbeaten games. Greylock got off to a slower start than usual, going into halftime up just 8-0. Drury (1-4 Berkshire County, 1-5 overall) played a tough first half, forcing the Mounties to punt after several possesions.The Greylock (6-0,6-0) running game finally picked up in the second half as Drury started to wear down. Ethan Ryan took advantage, scoring two touchdowns in the second half to ice the game. Ryan finished the day with 218 yards on 32 carries to go along with three touchdowns.
Despite getting the loss, Drury made some positive strides as they had just one turnover in the game.
Greylock faces a tough test this weekend when St. Joe (4-1,5-1) comes to town on Friday night at 7 p.m. The Blue Devils host Monument Mountain (1-4, 1-5) on Saturday, with kick off slated for 2:30 p.m.
