Sophie served as the lunch coordinator for the Cheshire COA for a good number of years as a volunteer. She picked up the Brown Bag food bags from Cheshire and delivered them to all the people in Savoy that needed them. She lovingly took care of our dogs when we were away. She did whatever mending to our clothes that was needed. She always had a positive attitude and was a pleasure to be around. She is greatly missed by many.

Sophie was my “go to” lady whenever I needed alterations on my clothes! She was a wonderful seamstress and great conversationalist! I admired her energy and I’m sure she’ll be missed by many! My deepest sympathy to her family!

Sophie was my god-mother. I remember all the good times I had with Claudia and Lou Lou at uncle Frank and aunt Nellie’s farm house in Savoy. Take care. Love you.

Truly a remarkable woman dedicated to her family friends and her community. She was a great visitor and comforter of my Mother( sister of Sophie's mother Nellie) when she was in a nursing home. She visited often and brought great cheer and love to our family. Her involvement in the Town of Savoy"s senior affairs is still mentioned by many of the Townspeople. The love she expressed to her family and neighbors will never be forgotten. John Boyle( first cousin) Dalton ma
