Duhamel Leads Taconic in Season-Opening Rout

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Kylie Duhamel went 2-for-4 with a pair of doubles Tuesday to lead the Taconic softball team to a 16-4 win over Pioneer Valley in the Thunder’s season opener.
 
Duhamel drove in a pair of runs in leading a 16-hit attack for Taconic.
 
Maddie Harrington, Abby Soto and Cheyann Goddard each had a pair of hits, including a double apiece.
 
Madi Barber had a team-high three RBIs.
 
Goddard got the win in the circle, allowing just one run and striking out five in five innings of work. Abby Bliss worked the sixth and final inning, striking out a pair and allowing three unearned runs.
 
Taconic (1-0) hosts Athol on Thursday.
