Lenox Tops Drury to Go to 2-0

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Hailey Armold Tuesday went 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs to lead the Lenox softball team to a 12-6 win over Drury.
 
Evelyn Julieano and Grace Julieano each also went 2-for-3 for the Millionaires, who won their second game in two days to start the season.
 
Evelyn Julieano doubled, walked twice and crossed the plate five times in the win.
 
She also threw 2 and a third innings of scoreless relief for winning pitcher Cassidy Flynn, who struck out six and allowed four earned runs in 4 and two-thirds innings.
 
The Blue Devils spotted Lenox a 5-0 lead midway through the second inning but clawed back and were within a run at 7-6 after scoring three in the bottom of the fifth.
 
But Lenox answered with four in the top of the sixth, when Armold hit a two-run double.
 
Norah Wood and Sloan Brothers each went 2-for-3 at the plate for Drury.
 
Brothers hit a pair of doubles, and Emily Lyons and Olivia Perry each doubled.
 
Perry recorded the 100th hit of her high school career in the process. 
 
Perry went six innings in the circle before giving the ball to Jaylee Moran, the pair combined to allow nine earned runs.
 
Drury (0-1) hosts Pittsfield on Wednesday.
 
Lenox (2-0) hosts Westfield Tech on Thursday.
