Anne P. Carruth, 70

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Anne Patricia Carruth, 70, a longtime resident of Nashua, N.H., died peacefully at her home on Sunday, Aug. 28, 2022. 

She was born in North Adams on Oct. 24, 1951, to the late Paul and Ruth Quinn Meaney. 

She is survived by her husband, Dale Carruth, whom she married on Oct. 15, 1977; one daughter, Erin and her husband, Ryan Wilson, of Dunbarton, N.H.; two sons, Daniel Carruth of Merrimack, N.H., and Michael Carruth and his wife, Sarah, of Amherst, N.H., and four grandchildren: Camden, Clark, Nolan and Benjamin. She is also survived by her brothers James Meaney, Gregory Meaney and John Meaney, all of North Adams, and many nieces and nephews.

Anne was predeceased by her brother Paul Meaney Jr. and her sister, Mary Ellen Perreault. 

Raised in North Adams, she graduated from the former St. Joseph's High School. She later went on to earn a bachelor's degree in criminal justice from Northeastern University and a master's degree in business from Rivier College in Nashua. 

She was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America and a communicant of Immaculate Conception Parish in Nashua. She enjoyed her careers as a parole officer, caregiver and educator throughout her life, and her roles as wife, mother and grandmother held the biggest spot in her heart. She will be dearly missed.

FUNERAL NOTICE: Visiting hours will be held Tuesday, Sept. 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Dumont-Sullivan Funeral Home, 50 Ferry St., Hudson, NH 03051. A Mass of Catholic Burial will be held Wednesday, Sept. 7, at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Parish, 216 East Dunstable Road, Nashua. All may please meet at church. 

A private family burial to follow at the New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery in Boscawen, N.H. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Dana Farber Cancer Institute at dana-farber.org and Merrimack Home Health & Hospice Care at hhhc.org.
