Robert L. L'Ecuyer, 87
ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Robert L. L’Ecuyer, 87, of Adams, died Saturday morning, August 20, 2022 at Williamstown Commons. He was born in North Adams on November 29, 1934, son of the late Wilfred and Rhoda (Cumm) L’Ecuyer and attended North Adams schools. Bob first worked at the former Berkshire Fine Spinning Co. in Adams. He last worked locally at the former Cornish Wire/Carol Cable Corp. He lived in Hawaii from 1991 until 1996, where he worked in maintenance at the former Stouffer’s Hotel. He was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams.
His wife, the former Norma G. (Lewis) Laine, whom he married on June 23, 1989, died on April 3, 2010.
He is survived by his stepchildren, Michelle Lesnick and her husband, Steven; DeeDee Laine, and James Laine, all of Adams, and Carol Parker and her husband, Kevin, of Hugo, Oklahoma; 10 step grandchildren and several step great grandchildren.
A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, August 30th at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams.
