Brian M. Wojieck, 42

ADAMS, Mass. —  On Saturday August 13th, 2022, Brian M. Wojieck, 42, died as a result of injuries sustained from a tragic fall while working on his family's dream home in Lanesborough, MA. Born on July 10th, 1980, to Gregory and Debra (Sadlowski) Wojieck, Brian entered the world in North Adams and was raised in the family home on East Road in Adams. He attended school in Adams, graduating from Hoosac Valley High School in 1998.

Brian spent his younger years heavily involved with sports, especially football, where he achieved high accolades on the field playing for the Hurricanes, earning him the Mike Rysz award for player of the year in 1997. His passion for playing the sport carried on in all he talked to, often providing coaching tips for family and friends.

After graduation, Brian went on to try several different jobs, including work as a cook and as a counselor for troubled youth. He settled into a career in finance, earning his Masters degree in 2019 from Fitchburg State University. He was a passionate follower of Dave Ramsey's financial peace program and would share that knowledge with anyone who would listen. Brian was currently working for stripe.com, where his love for finance and his job truly shone through.

Along with finances, Brian loved being outside and working with his hands. He had a talent for making simple things look beautiful. He was a problem solver who could see the positive outcome in anything he put his mind to. Just a few short years ago he extended his passion of the outdoors with a pursuit of hunting and the Fall season was a time that he cherished in the woods with his father and brother, and most recently his children.

Above all else, Brian loved being a husband and father and his drive came to make their life the best it could be. He married the love of his life Jacelyn on December 31st, 2018, who he first met when they were young and were reunited just a few years prior to their marriage.

Brian leaves behind his loving wife Jacelyn (Amburn) and his children, of whom he is so proud, Graclyn and Braden Wojieck, and their mother Tracy Johnson, Anthony and Charlotte Ackerley, and Nolan Wojieck, his parents Gregory and Debra (Sadlowski) Wojieck, of Adams, one brother Nick Wojieck (Oakley), of Red Creek, NY, two sisters, Paula MacLean (Charlie), of Hawley and Julie Cousino (Trevor), of Lompoc, CA, as well as his aunts, uncle, cousins, and many nieces and nephews. Brian is also survived by his in-laws, Allen and Sandi Amburn, along with all of Jackie's immediate and extended family who are just as loved by him as they are by her.

He is predeceased by his grandparents Stanley and Ceilia Wojieck and Henry and Pauline Sadlowski.

Brian's family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to Dr. Fishman and the entire emergency room staff at Berkshire Medical Center for their outstanding care and compassion during this difficult time.

Brian was a compassionate and loving provider to his family or whomever needed him. He would never shy away from helping anyone who needed him. He is a soul that will be deeply missed but he was also an organ donor and will allow multiple lives to be saved, something that was truly important to him. His impact on anyone with whom he came into contact will be carried on forever.

Funeral services for Mr. Brian M. Wojieck will be Friday, August 19, 2022, at 11 a.m. outdoors at the Unity Terrace at Dwyer-Wellington Funeral Home, 220 East Street, Pittsfield MA 01201. Calling hours at Dwyer-Wellington on East St. will be Thursday, August 18, 2022, from 4 pm to 6 pm. Donations can be made to a GoFundMe set up to help cover funeral costs and to provide a trust for his 5 children at
