Frances Filip, 91

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Frances Joan (Krzeminski) Filip, 91, of Adams, died on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at Berkshire Medical Center in North Adams surrounded by her loved ones

She was born in Adams on February 12, 1931, a daughter of the late Peter and Mary (Zoltek) Krzeminski. She attended schools in Adams, including St. Stanislaus Elementary School and graduated from the former Adams High School with the class of 1949.

Frances worked for the former Sprague Electric Co., North Adams, for 41 years, retiring in 1991.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. She was a member of the St. Michaels Society and the Rosary Sodality.

Her husband, Mathew Filip, whom she married on May 14, 1955, died on March 8, 2013.

Frances is survived by several nieces and nephews, including her primary caregiver Linda Troy and her husband Thomas of Cheshire and Kristine Megaro of Cheshire; and by her sister-in-law, Mary Krzeminski of Adams.

She was predeceased by her two brothers, Peter and John Krzeminski and by her sister Daisy Czelusniak.

Frances’s family would like to thank her nurses, aides and the ER Staff at BMC North for their care and compassion as her health declined.

The funeral will be held on Monday, July 25th at 10:30 A.M. from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 11:00 A.M. in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams.

Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery.

Calling hours are Monday morning from 9:30 A.M. until 10:30 A.M. at the funeral home. Face coverings will be required for anyone attending the calling hours and funeral.
