Norman J. Daigneault, 92

ADAMS, Mass. — Mr. Norman J. Daigneault, 92, of Adams, died Tuesday afternoon, July 5, 2022 at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield. He was born in North Adams on August 09, 1929, a son of the late Josephat and Caroline (Scott) Daigneault. He came to Adams as a small child and attended Adams schools. Norman was a Veteran of the Korean War, serving with the US Army’s 103rd Field Artillery until his Honorable Discharge in 1953. He worked as a technician at General Electric in Pittsfield for over 30 years, until retiring in 1991. He had been a communicant of Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams, and most enjoyed spending time with his family. His wife, the former Laurel J. Smith, whom he married on April 28, 1956, died on March 28, 2013. He is survived by four daughters, Mary Martin and her husband, Timothy, of Peru, MA, Jean Burzimati and her husband, Lorenzo, of Pownal, VT, Ann Prudhomme and her husband, Thomas, of Adams and Joyce Daigneault and her partner, Anthony Cricco of Durham, CT; one son, Mark Daigneault of North Adams; 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews. He was predeceased by his brothers Joseph, Lawrence and Raymond Daigneault, and by his sisters Rita McLear and Doris Lussier. The funeral will be held on Saturday, July 9th, at 9:00 AM from the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, followed by a Liturgy of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM in Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams. Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours are Friday evening from 5 to 7 PM at the funeral home.
