Janet M. LaFleur, 93

ADAMS, Mass. —  

Mrs. Janet Maryann (Gajda) LaFleur, 93, of Adams, died on Monday, May 9, 2022, at her home.

She was born in Adams on April 20, 1929, a daughter of the late John and Anna (Tworig) Gajda. She attended schools in Adams and graduated from the former Adams High School.

Mrs. LaFleur was primarily a homemaker but had worked for the former Waverly Fabrics and Schiff’s Clothing Store.

She was a communicant of the Parish of St. John Paul II at Notre Dame des Sept Douleurs Church, Adams.

Her husband Alan A. LaFleur, whom she married on September 6, 1948, died on April 3, 2016.

She is survived by her daughter Susan LaFleur of Cambridge, MA; a sister Frances Bassi and her husband Bernard of Adams; a grandson Scott LaFleur and his wife Jaclyn of Mt. View, CA; a granddaughter Renee LaFleur Werness and her husband Jonathan of Mt. View, CA; three great granddaughters, Harper, Charlotte and Colette; her brother-in-law, Daniel LaFleur and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her son Alan D. LaFleur who died on March 10, 2019, and by her sister Florence Zarek (Stanley) and her brother John Gajda (Louise).

A Liturgy of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, June 25th at 10:00 A.M. in Notre Dame Church, Adams.

Burial will follow in Bellevue Cemetery.

There are no calling hours.
