Francis W. Goodell Jr., 73

WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Francis William Goodell Jr., 73, of Keene, N.H., and formerly of Williamstown passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at his home after a brief illness. 

Born in Hancock on Aug. 18, 1948, first-born child of the late Francis William Goodell Sr. and Emma Davis Odell Goodell, he attended schools in Williamstown and was a graduate of the school of life, mastering many skills working primarily in the transportation industry, most recently for the Fairfield Dealerships in New Hampshire.

Francis is survived by a son Jeffrey Goodell and his partner, Kathy; a daughter, Tammy Goodell; a sister, Nancy Pontier and her partner, Larry; his former wife, Patricia Benson Goodell; granddaughters Ashley and Angel Goodell; great-grandchildren, several cousins, nieces and nephews and grandnieces and -nephews, including nieces Amy Perras and Angela Cote, a nephew, Aaron Goodell and his wife, Ashley, and his aunts Laura Odell and Mary Burzimati.  

Francis was predeceased by his longtime companion, Sharon Ann Rice; a brother, Richard; his sister Linda; his aunt Margaret Odell; and nephews Robert and Charles Goodell. 

FUNERAL NOTICE: Memorial services will be private with burial at a later time. Arrangements are being handled by the family with the assistance of Cheshire Family Funeral Home in Swanzey, N.H.
