Dorothy E. Rysz, 80

ADAMS, Mass. —Miss Dorothy E. Rysz, 80, of Adams, died unexpectedly on Friday, May 6, 2022 at her home. She was born in Adams on December 3, 1941, the daughter of the late Joseph P. and Frances D. (Bigda) Rysz. She attended Adams schools and graduated from the former St. Joseph’s High School in North Adams with the Class of 1960. Dorothy last worked as a secretary for the Massachusetts DCR until her retirement. Earlier, she had worked at the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams. She was a communicant of St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams, and was a member of the St. Stanislaus Rosary Sodality. Her brother, Joseph P. Rysz, Jr. died on January 30, 2022. She is survived by several cousins. A Liturgy of Christian Burial for both Dorothy and her brother Joe will be celebrated on Wednesday, June 1st at 11:00 AM in St. Stanislaus Kostka Church, Adams. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Adams. Calling hours in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St. Adams, will be Wednesday, June 1st from 9:30 until 10:30 AM.
