Joe A. Malloy, 81

ADAMS, Mass. —  Mr. Joe A. Malloy, 81, of Adams, died on Monday, December 13, 2021, at Baystate Medical Center in Springfield.

He was born in Savoy on August 11, 1940, a son of the late Louis and Mary (Gardner) Malloy. He attended schools in Adams.

Mr. Malloy worked as a farmer until his death.

He was a member of the Eastern Draft Horse Association. He enjoyed pulling horses, hunting and was an avid fisherman.

His wife, the former Arlene Therrien, whom he married on April 28, 1962, died on February 7, 2012.

He is survived by his son, Joe A. Malloy, Jr. and his wife Brenda of Adams; two daughters, Betty Jo Valois of Adams and Arlene Superneau and her husband Bryan of Savoy; three brothers, Louis Malloy, Jr., Bernard Malloy and Ronald Malloy; one sister Rose Schafferick; his longtime friend Betty Daily; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by six brothers, Robert, James, John, William, Gene and Boy Malloy and by two sisters, Theresa Whitmore and Mary Jane Ferris.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 19th at 4:00 P.M. in the PACIOREK FUNERAL HOME, 13 Hoosac St., Adams.

Calling hours are from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
