CLARK ART INSTITUTE SCREENS THE MET: LIVE IN HD - SALOME

The Clark Art Institute will present a broadcast of the Metropolitan Opera's production of Richard Strauss's Salome as part of The Met: Live in HD series. Tickets are available for purchase at clarkart.edu/events or by calling the box office at 413 458 0524, with prices at $25 (general), $22 (members), $18 (students), and $5 (children 15 and under); advance registration is encouraged due to limited capacity, and refunds are not provided.

STORYTIME WITH STAY & PLAY
Becket, 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Becket Athenaeum hosts a storytime from 10:30 to 11:30 followed by an hour of stay and play with toys, games, puzzles, and snacks for the kids, along with coffee, tea, snacks, and time for connection for the caregivers. Stop by for either or both.

"A TRIP TO GREECE" FOLLOWED BY A TALKBACK

The Triplex Cinema announces a special event with Dr. Joachim Frank, the winner of the 2017 Nobel Prize for Chemistry. The event will feature a screening of the 2020 Michael Winterbottom film “The Trip to Greece,” starring Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. Following the film, Triplex Creative Director Ben Elliott will moderate a discussion about the film with Dr. Frank, who has recently published a novel, “Ierapetra, or His Sister’s Keeper,” which is set in Greece. There will be a book signing and reception with Dr. Frank after the discussion. Tickets available at www.thetriplex.org.

Home-grown plants are featured at the Springside Greenhouse Group Annual Plant sale. Come purchase annuals, perennials, hanging baskets, vegetables, tropicals and container arrangements created and cared for by this community group which has shared the love of horticulture for over 50 years. Join us for this special event.

This group, in residence in Springside Park, Pittsfield, MA meets each Wednesday evening from September through May. In addition to the monthly business meetings held the first Wednesday each month, the group offers guest speakers and workshops on a variety of interests.

Members work throughout the year to showcase incredible plants at this annual major fundraiser supporting the club’s budget.

Springside Greenhouse is located within the beautiful Herbert Arboretum and next to the historic Springside House at 874 North Street in Pittsfield, MA. Welcome Spring!
