The Adams Free Library will host a free multisensory play group for children ages six and younger and their caregivers. Led by Early Childhood Educator Emilee Reynolds, the program will feature five stations engaging different senses, including playdough, music and sound, tactile experiences, and a light table. This program aims to develop academic skills through sensory play. An adult must accompany all participants.

The event will feature songs performed by Samantha Talora and a Shakespearean recitation by Greta Mathews, embodying Kemble.

Nursing: This program meets the requirements of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing at CMR 244 5.00 and 9 contact training hours will be awarded. The conference will include short presentations and small group application of skills and discussion. This one-day FREE conference will introduce new sessions, presenters, with our core group to bring you a day to learn from one another and leave feeling empowered. Successful workforce development requires skilled preceptors and coaches who can identify learning needs and address those needs using effective techniques. This conference is designed to empower both new and experienced preceptors/coaches with the essential skills needed to help learners and new hires achieve success. Participants will: • Explore frameworks to plan and deliver learner-centered precepting and coaching • Practice specific, effective, efficient, and practical methods to ensure successful outcomes • Discuss techniques used in challenging conversations, including feedback • Learn approaches to self-care The Berkshire Empowerment Conference is supported by The New England Nursing Preceptor Academy which is funded by the Nurse Education, Practice, Quality and Retention- Clinical Faculty and Preceptor Academies program grant from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) and is administered by the UMass Chan Medical School/Tan Chingfen Graduate School of Nursing in Worcester, MA in collaboration with partners across New England.
