Superior Court Briefs: Sept. 16 - Sept. 18
Cases heard before judge John Agostini on Tuesday, September 16.
David Faria, 40, of Adams pleaded guilty to two counts of assault and battery and single counts of kidnapping, armed assault with intent to murder, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon, assault by means of a dangerous weapon, intimidation of a witness or other person, carrying a dangerous weapon, and threat to commit a crime.
He was ordered to serve concurrent three to five years in state prison on the kidnapping, assault and battery by means of a dangerous weapon and assault by means of a dangerous weapon charge. He was placed on five-years probation on the armed assault with intent to murder. He was given concurrent time at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the remaining charges.
The incidents occurred in Adams on May 19, 2013 and involved a 37-year-old woman.

Tyrone Jenkins, 32, of Pittsfield pleaded guilty to three counts of assault by means of a dangerous weapon and a single count of larceny from a person.
He was ordered to serve 148 days of a two-year sentence at the Berkshire County House of Correction on the larceny from a person charge. The balance of that sentence is suspended for three years. He was placed on three-years probation on the other charges.
The incident occurred in Pittsfield on April 21, 2009. A single count of possession of phencyclidine was dismissed by the state.
