Law Enforcement Seizes Guns, Drugs From Pittsfield Apartment
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Area law enforcement launched a "no-knock" warrant on a city apartment Thursday morning and seized more than 300 bags of heroin, $540 in cash and guns.
At about 11 a.m. the Berkshire County Special Response Team executed the warrant on a second floor apartment of 55 Worthington Street. The warrant was executed by the SRT in conjunction with Pittsfield Police's drug unit and the Berkshire County Drug Task Force.
The search of the home turned up a loaded 9 mm handgun, other fully loaded magazines, 350 individual bags of heroin, more than $540 in cash, a digital scale and prescription pills.
Five parties were arrested and charged with drug crimes.
