Drury Tops Mount Everett

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Brooke Bishop went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and a pair of RBIs Tuesday to lead the Drury softball team to a 6-1 win over Mount Everett.
 
Blue Devils leadoff hitter Maddie Saunders was 2-for-3 at the plate, drove in a pair of runs and stole a pair of bases to help spark the offense.
 
Olivia Perry struck out nine and walked just one in a complete-game effort in the circle.
 
Julia Devoti went the distance in the circle for the Eagles. She also had one of Mount Everett’s four hits.
 
Makayla Carpenter drove in a run, and Tonilyn Smith doubled and scored a run in the loss.
 
The Eagles (2-1) are home on Thursday against Chicopee Comprehensive.
 
Drury (4-3) is at Mount Greylock on Friday.
