Turnovers Cost McCann Tech Boys in Loss to St. Mary's

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The St. Mary’s boys lacrosse team Tuesday beat McCann Tech, 17-6, in a girls-boys double-header at McCann.

 

Cole Maxwell had a hat trick for the Hornets, who got a pair of goals from Musa Thompson. Parker Hart finished with a goal and two assists in the loss.

 

“We had momentum early and penalties killed us,” McCann Tech coach Marshall Maxwell said. “We won nearly 90% of the face offs and only scored six goals. Simply put, too many turnovers.”

 

Brody Rhiinemiller stopped 12 shots in McCann Tech’s goal.

 

The Hornets (0-7) host Springfield Central on Thursday.
