Bidwell House Museum Hosts Winter Hike

Print Story | Email Story
MONTEREY, Mass. — The Bidwell House Museum invites the community to a guided winter hike on Saturday, Jan. 18, at 10 a.m.

Participants will explore the museum's 6 miles of trails, discovering a unique winter landscape with potential wildlife sightings.

The hike will cover 1-2 miles and last approximately 1-2 hours, depending on conditions. If snow is present, attendees should bring snowshoes and poles, dress in layers, and carry water and a snack. In the absence of snow, it will be a traditional hike, so appropriate footwear is required.

The hike will be postponed if severe weather is forecast, and space is limited to 15 participants. Pre-registration is required at bidwellhousemuseum.org/events. Carpooling is encouraged due to limited parking in snowy conditions.

The museum grounds, spanning 194 acres of trails, woods, and historic stone walls, are open year-round for free.
