Lazits Leads Team Past SteepleCats

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Taconic High School graduate Anton Lazits went 2-for-4 with a double and an RBI Tuesday to lead the Bristol, Conn., Blues to 7-3 win over the North Adams SteepleCats.
 
Warren Holzemer went 3-for-4 with a pair of RBIs for North Adams, which got two hits apiece from Max Palinski and Luke Mistone.
 
The SteepleCats (9-11) go to Vermont to face the Upper Valley Nighthawks on Wednesday.

National Weather Service Issues T-Storm Watch

The Berkshires, Eastern New York and parts of Southern Vermont are under a severe thunderstorm watch until 9 p.m. on Tuesday.
 
There is a marginal to slight risk for severe thunderstorms for most of the region Wednesday. Thunderstorms may produce isolated to scattered instances of downed trees, tree limbs and power outages due to damaging wind gusts.
