NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- The Keene, N.H., Swamp Bats Thursday overcame an early 5-0 deficit to earn a 10-9 win over the North Adams SteepleCats at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Warren Holzemer went 3-for-5 with a home run and two RBIs for North Adams.
 
Elijah Lambros also homered in the loss.
 
North Adams (7-10) goes to Danbury, Conn., on Saturday.

SteepleCats Down Danbury on Road

DANBURY, Conn. – Taconic graduate Sam Sherman went 3-for-4 on Saturday night to help the North Adams SteepleCats beat the Danbury, Conn., Westerners, 8-3, in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
 
Jake Kulikowski and Luke Mistone each homered, and Jayder Raifstanger (Monument Mountain) and Derek Paris (Mount Greylock) each scored a run for the SteepleCats.
 
Tanner Duke earned the win on the mound, starting and going six innings. Duke struck out 10 and allowed two runs.
 
North Adams (8-10) Sunday travels to Rhode Island to face Ocean State.
