BCC to Hold Open House

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Learn more about Berkshire Community College  (BCC) on Saturday, March 9 from 9-11 am, including a financial aid workshop at 10 am. 
 
The event takes place in the Connector on BCC's main campus, located at 1350 West Street, Pittsfield.  
 
Prospective students and their guests are invited to meet one-on-one with BCC representatives from various offices. Participants can speak with faculty about the programs that interest them, take a campus tour and learn about paying for college, transferring to a four-year school, internships and career opportunities. 
 
All attendees will receive a breakfast, a discount at the BCC Bookstore and a chance to win BCC swag.

Anderson Leads SteepleCats Past Danbury

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Aedan Anderson went 3-for-4 with a home run and a double Friday to lead the North Adams SteepleCats to a 12-8 win over Danbury, Conn., Westerners in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
 
The SteepleCats broke a 7-7 tie with a five-run seventh inning on the way to breaking a 13-game losing streak in front of their home fans at Joe Wolfe Field.
 
Monument Mountain's Jayder Raifstanger went 1-for-5 with a pair of RBIs, and Taconic's Sam Sherman also was 1-for-5 at the plate for North Adams.
 
Owen Fox earned the win on the mound with 2 and two-thirds innings of work in relief.
 
North Adams (13-26) travels to Holyoke on Saturday for a double-header against the Valley Blue Sox.
