Ghost Tours At Ventfort Hall

LENOX, Mass. — Join Robert Oakes, author of "Ghosts of the Berkshires," who will lead you through the rooms and halls of this historic estate sharing tales of its alleged hauntings. 
 
The tour will take place at 8 pm on Friday, Jan. 12. Admission is $30 and minimum age to attend is age 12. Reservations are strongly recommended as tickets are limited. Walk-ins accommodated as space allows.

Robert Oakes is an author, teacher, storyteller, and singer/songwriter originally from northern New Jersey and currently residing in the Berkshires. Since 2010 Robert has led the ghost tours at Edith Wharton's The Mount in Lenox, and has represented the museum and its ghosts on Syfy's Ghost Hunters, Jeff Belanger's New England Legends series on PBS, and The Apple Seed show on BYUradio.

Housatonic Street Closure Scheduled for April 8 in Lenox

LENOX, Mass.—Housatonic Street will be closed to traffic on Tuesday, April 8, from 7:00 AM for approximately 10 hours.

The closure, affecting the section of Housatonic Street between the Bypass and East Street, is to allow Rifenburg Construction to install conduit for the Public Safety Complex project.

Traffic access to locations east of Caligari Hardware will be rerouted via Walker Street to East Street. The southbound left-turn lane on the Bypass will also be closed during this period.

Alternate routes are advised. Police officers will be present to manage traffic flow and provide assistance.
