DALTON, Mass. -- Bryce Hoff went 2-for-3 with a home run Tuesday to lead the Pittsfield Little League American Division 12-year-old All-Stars to a 10-0 win over Dalton-Hinsdale in the Don Gleason District 1 Tournament.
Jack Wendling went 3-for-3 with a pair of RBIs, and Cooper Reed hit a solo home run for the Americans, who scored four runs in the third and fourth innings to end the game early by the run rule.
Hoff struck out 11 of the 15 batters he faced in the win.
Blake Santora doubled and Ryder Shove singled for Dalton-Hinsdale, which finishes the district tournament with a record of 1-3 in the five-team round robin.
The Americans (4-0) went into Tuesday's game knowing that they already had a spot in Thursday's 5:30 District 1 title game against Adams-Cheshire (3-1).

Marlboro Edges Post 68 Juniors at State Tourney

MIDDLEBOROUGH, Mass. – Brady Bouldry struck out nine and allowed three hits Saturday to lead the Middleboro Post 64 Juniors to a 2-0 win over Pittsfield Post 68 at the American Legion State Tournament.
Bouldry went the distance on the mound, walking two, to earn the tournament hosts a date with Swampscott Post 57 on Sunday night in the winners’ bracket of the double-elimination tournament.
Gavin O’Donnell tripled, and Ethan O’Donnell and Jason Codey each had a hit for Pittsfield.
The O’Donnell brothers also split time on the mound, striking out eight, walking two and allowing one earned run.
Post 68 plays Sandwich Post 188 on Sunday at 1 p.m.
