Leader of Dartmouth-Hitchock’s Long COVID Clinic to Appear on Medical Matters Weekly
BENNINGTON, Vt. — Southwestern Vermont Health Care's (SVHC) Medical Matters Weekly with Dr. Trey Dobson, a weekly interactive, multiplatform medical-themed talk show, will feature Jeffrey Parsonnet, MD, an infectious disease physician at Dartmouth-Hitchcock and the leader of a clinic designed to help people with enduring COVID symptoms, on its July 7 program. The show will air live at 12 p.m.

Dr. Parsonnet received his bachelor's degree from Princeton University in New Jersey and his medical degree from NYU School of Medicine. He completed an Internal Medicine Residency with Yale University Hospitals in Connecticut, and in 1985, he completed a fellowship in infectious diseases at Beth Israel Hospital and Brigham and Women's Hospital in Massachusetts. He has been in practice for more than 20 years. In addition to his medical practice, he is a professor of medicine at Dartmouth Geisel School of Medicine. His recent research relates to Staphylococcus aureus, the most dangerous of all of the many common staphylococcal bacteria which often causes skin infections but can cause pneumonia, heart valve infections, and bone infections.
After the program, the video will be available on area public access television stations. On CAT-TV, viewers will find the show on channel 1075 at 7:30 p.m. Sunday, 1:30 p.m. Monday, 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, 7:30 a.m. Wednesday, 7:30 p.m. Thursday, 7:30 a.m. Friday, and 7 p.m. Saturday. GNAT-TV's Comcast channel 1074 airs the program at 8 a.m. Monday, 9 p.m. Wednesday, and 1 p.m. Saturday.
