Reinhardt Foul Shooting Helps Mounties Defeat Lee

10:29PM / Wednesday, February 11, 2015

LEE, Mass. -- Arianna Walden scored 16 points, and Jenna Benzinger had 12 to lead the Mount Greylock girls basketball team to a 43-33 win over Lee on Wednesday in a must-win road game for the injury-depleted Mounties.

Mount Greylock won its second straight Southern Division game since losing the program's all-time scoring leader, Lucy Barrett, to an ankle injury.

The rest of the Mounties continued to step up on Wednesday to complete the season sweep of the Wildcats.

Mount Greylock won its third game in four days and improved to 8-9 this season with three games left -- all against teams the Mounties have beaten this season, Southern Division foes Lenox (Thursday), St. Joseph and Mount Everett.

On Wednesday, Mount Greylock held Lee (6-11) to two points in the third quarter after going to the locker room tied at 20-20.

The Mounties went to the fourth with a five-point lead and put the game away at the foul line, going 12-for-16 in the period. Hailey Reinhardt was six-for-eight at the charity stripe in the fourth for all six of her points.

Lee travels to St. Joe on Thursday night.
