WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Madison Drake scored 14 points, and the Mount Greylock girls basketball team Monday held off a comeback effort by Taconic to take a 55-42 win.

 

Mia Filiault scored 12 points for the Mounties, who had a 43-20 lead going into the fourth quarter.

 

Jaelynn Walker scored 12 of her game-high 19 points in the final eight minutes, going 6-for-9 at the free throw line down the stretch, to help make a game of it.

 

Kiannah Josephs scored 10 points for Taconic (1-2), which goes to Hoosac Valley on Friday.

 

Madi Powell and Tanley Drake each scored eight for Mount Greylock (3-2), which is off until it goes to Taconic next Monday.
