SOUTHWICK, Mass. – Gianna Carlino and Mika Diller each scored 12 points, and the Lee girls basketball team held Southwick to 16 points through three quarters en route to a 41-26 win on Thursday night.
“An outstanding defensive performance by our kids tonight,” Lee coach Rick Puleri said. “We really controlled the paint and dominated on the boards. We had good scoring balance and made shots in the first half. Mia Puleri had a great all around game with eight points, 11 rebounds, four assists, five blocks and four steals.”
Carlino scored nine points in the second quarter to help the Wildcats take a 31-11 lead into the locker room.
“Mika Diller had a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds despite being in foul trouble,” Rick Puleri noted.
Lee (6-5), which has won four of five, goes to McCann Tech on Friday night.
