LEE, Mass. – Caroline Maloney scored a game-high 21 points, and the Lee girls basketball team held McCann Tech to 14 second-half points to earn a 48-36 win on Saturday.
The Wildcats held a slim 23-22 lead going into the locker room but outscored the Hornets, 25-14, after the break.
Maloney knocked down six 3-pointers, and Emma Puleri (13 points) hit three times from beyond the arc.
“Hard fought game by both teams,” Lee coach Rick Puleri said. :Great defense in the second half creating turnovers and forcing tough shots. A hot shooting night from the 3-point line always helps.”
Carina Brown scored six points in the win.
Izzy LaCasse scored 17 points to lead McCann Tech (7-9), which hosts Hampden Charter on Tuesday.
Lee (12-3) takes a seven-game winning streak to Monument Mountain on Monday.
