LEE, Mass. -- Maria Gamberoni and Noelle Furlong finished in double figures, and Wahconah’s defense clamped down after a high-scoring first-quarter to earn a 64-35 win over Lee on Friday night.
It was 20-17 after eight minutes of play. Emma Puleri, Hannah Simmons and Caroline Maloney each knocked down a 3-pointer for Lee in the opening stanza.
But Lee managed just 18 points the rest of the way.
Meanwhile, Gamberoni scored a game-high 20, and Furlong added 15.Olivia Gamberoni chipped in with eight points.
Puleri led Lee with nine points. Simmons finished with seven.
Lee (2-3) goes to Mount Greylock on Saturday.
Wahconah (16-0) hosts Monument Mountain on Saturday.
