DALTON, Mass. -- It was something old and something new in Berkshire County high school girls basketball on Tuesday night.

 

The new: a season-opener for the Lee Wildcats.

 

The old: The Wahconah girls kept beating all comers.

 

Maria Gamberoni scored 29 points, and Noelle Furlong added 18 in a 73-26 win.

 

Grace Wingington scored 11 points as Wahconah stayed unbeaten this season.

 

For Lee, Caroline Maloney scored nine points, and Emma Puleri added six.

 

The Wildcats go to Monument Mountain on Thursday, when Wahconah hosts Mount Everett.
