DALTON, Mass. -- Maria Gamberoni scored 24 points Friday as the Wahconah girls basketball team held on for a 31-28 win over Mount Greylock.
The Mounties jumped out to a 14-7 lead after one quarter and was up by eight going to the fourth.
Flu-ridden Wahconah held the Mounties to five points in the fourth quarter, and Gamberoni scored 13 points -- including 5-for-6 shooting at the foul line -- in the final eight minutes.
Noelle Furlong also hit a 3-pointer in the fourth on her way to a five-point night.
Delaney Babcock scored 10 points to lead Mount Greylock, which got nine points from Madison Ross.
The Mounties (5-9) go to Lee on Monday.
Wahconah (11-3) goes to Monument Mountain on Monday.
