HADLEY, Mass. -- Izzy LaCasse scored 23 points Wednesday to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 49-44 win over Hopkins Academy.
“Tonight we played a full four quarters,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “We moved the ball well and we're patient on offense. The girls never gave up and responded well from being down at the half.”
The Hornets held the Eagles to just six points in the third quarter to erase most of a 28-17 half-time deficit.
In the decisive fourth, LaCasse scored eight points, and Kaylee Tatro (16 points) scored five as McCann Tech outscored its hosts by a margin of 17-10.
Grace Towler scored seven points in the win.
McCann Tech (4-5) hosts Putnam on Friday.
