NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Micalyn Mailloux scored 22 points Monday to lead the Mahar girls basketball team to a 53-38 win over McCann Tech.
“We were very stagnant,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “You can't play one quarter and expect to win. We struggled from the foul line as well. Overall not a good night.”
The Hornets (5-6) outscored the Senators, 15-9, in the third quarter to cut into a 29-19 half-time lead, but Mahar pulled away in the fourth.
Isabell LaCasse scored 13 points, and Kaylee Tatro had 12 for McCann Tech, which shot 4-for-15 from the charity stripe.
The Hornets go to Ware on Tuesday.
