SOUTHWICK, Mass. -- Grace Towler hit three fourth-quarter 3-pointers to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 45-39, come-from-behind win over Southwick on Monday night.
The Hornets trailed by five going into the fourth quarter but outscored the Rams, 23-12, in the final eight minutes, scoring more points than McCann Tech managed in the other three quarters combined in the process.
“It was nice to get a win on the road,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “We kept plugging away. Grace Towler hit some key 3-pointers and Kaylee Tatro, Izzy LaCasse and Emma Marino finished their free throws for the win.”
Towler finished with a game-high 18 points, and LaCasse and Aubrey Tetlow scored nine and eight, respectively.
McCann Tech (8-4) goes to Mahar on Thursday.
