WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. -- Maddie Albert scored eight points of her 13 points in the fourth quarter as the Mount Greylock girls basketball team pulled away late for a 63-54 win over Monument Mountain.
The Mounties hit 11 free throws in the fourth quarter to outscore the Spartans, 24-20, in the final eight minutes and hold on for their first win of the season.
Madison Ross and Delaney Babcock each scored 12, and Ciera Schwarzer and Brook Masse chipped in with nine and eight points, respectively.
Meri Powell scored a game-high 22, and Destiny Brown added 10 for the Spartans.
Monument Mountain (3-1) goes to Lee next Thursday.
Mount Greylock (1-3) hosts Wahconah on Thursday.
