LEE, Mass. -- Maria Gamberoni scored 21 points, and the Wahconah girls basketball team got off to a red-hot start en route to a 59-30 win over Lee on Tuesday night.
Wahconah outscored its host, 21-6, in the first quarter to take control of the game and never looked back.
Abigail Steinman scored 10, and Jillian Cote and Becca Morris each had seven in the win.
Lee was led by Lydia Simone with 15.
The Wildcats (3-7) host Turners Falls on Thursday.
Wahconah (9-1) has a showdown with Hoosac Valley on Friday in Cheshire in a battle of one-loss teams.
