NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Grace Towler scored 15 points, and the McCann Tech girls basketball team Monday gave up nine first-half points en route to a 43-31 win over Smith Academy.
“We came out strong tonight and did not let up,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “The girls did a nice job rebounding and really worked hard on the defensive end.”
Aubrey Tetlow and Paige Sheppard each scored eight, and Kaylee Tatro added six for the Hornets.
McCann Tech has won four straight games to improve to 8-11 on the season.
Monday’s win moved the Hornets into a tie with Smith Academy for first place in the Franklin County West with one game left, Friday’s meeting at Mohawk Trail, where McCann will look to avenge a seven-point loss from Jan. 2.
