NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Aimee Dowling scored 15 points Tuesday to lead the McCann Tech girls basketball team to a 46-28 win over Pioneer.
The Hornets jumped out to a 16-3 lead after one quarter and never looked back.
“Tonight we executed our offense and were patient,” McCann Tech coach Kathy Budaj said. “Our defense was strong and we forced turnovers.”
Grace Towler and Kaylee Tatro each scored 12 for the Hornets.
Dowling, who averaged five points per game coming in, tripled that production to help the team snap a three-game losing skid.
“It was nice to see Aimee's shots fall tonight,” Budaj said. “She works so hard on both ends of the court and does so much and she has been struggling with her shot.”
McCann Tech (4-4) goes to Frontier on Thursday.
