SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Gwendolyn Carpenter scored 14 points in a decisive second quarter to lead the Mount Everett girls basketball team to a 60-28 win over McCann Tech on Thursday night.
The Eagles outscored the Hornets, 25-4, in the second quarter to take a 37-15 lead into half-time.
Carpenter finished with a game-high 17 points. Madison Ullrich and Marion Devoti added 11 and 10, respectively.
McCann Tech got 11 points from Aimee Dowling.
The Hornets (4-10) host Southwick on Friday night, while Mount Everett (7-5) goes to Taconic.
