SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Gwendolyn Carpenter scored 20 points, and Chelsea Hill scored 12 Tuesday to lead the Mount Everett girls basketball team to a 52-48 win over Lee.
Hill scored eight points in the first quarter to help the Eagles build an early 19-16 lead.
Mount Everett took another three-point lead, 40-37, into the fourth quarter, and it got points from seven different players in a 12-11 fourth-quarter to secure the win.
Marion Devoti scored eight points for the Eagles (9-6) who won for the second time in three outings against the Wildcats this year.
Karli Retzel scored a game-high 29 points for Lee (13-2), which saw an eight-game winning streak come to an end.
Lee looks to start a new winning streak on Friday at Lenox.
Mount Everett attempts to qualify for the Western Mass tournament on Wednesday at Sci-Tech.
