NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Gwen Carpenter scored 21 points to lead the Mount Everett girls basketball team to a 46-32 win over Drury on Wednesday in the first round of the Gene Wein Holiday Tournament.
Carpenter scored 10 points from the floor in the first quarter and went 6-for-8 from the line the rest of the way as the Eagles improved to 3-0 this winter.
Madison Ullrich scored 10, and Madeline VonRuden added six for Mount Everett.
Brooke DiGennaro scored 13, and Sarah Lamarre added seven for the Blue Devils (0-1).
Drury faces Duggan on Thursday in the consolation game.
Mount Everett faces Mount Greylock for the tournament title.
