NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Jess Scoville scored 14 points on Wednesday to lead the Pioneer girls basketball team to a 53-30 win over McCann Tech.
The visitors jumped out to a 21-6 lead after the first quarter and never looked back.
"Tonight, Pioneer's height really hurt us," McCann coach Kathy Budaj said. "They won the majority of the rebounds. We did move the ball up the court well, but so many of our shots would not drop."
Aimee Dowling tied for game-high honors with 14 points, and Natalie Diesz and Michaela Malloy scored four apiece for the Hornets.
McCann Tech (2-5) goes to Greenfield on Friday night.
